Behavioral Health
treatment and admission

Treatment begins with a physician assessment, intake evaluation, and a nursing assessment.
Assignments for treatment are then made according to type of care required and specific skills of staff members.

Under the direction of a psychiatrist, an interdisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals assess each patient's needs.
Psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers and activity therapists work together with the patient to develop an individual treatment plan.

Patients stay as long as necessary to meet treatment goals. Post-discharge follow-up and outplacement referrals to community resources are made to meet the patients' ongoing social, psychological and job needs.
To educate and increase the awareness of illness dynamics, medication issues are discussed and coping mechanisms to assist in conflict resolution are identified.
