Rehabilitation services
at Johnston Medical Center
The Rehab Services department provides Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments to maximize recovery and optimize functional abilities for patients after injury, surgery, illness, long-term disability or other debilitating conditions.

Treatments are provided for all age groups, from infants to elderly patients.
Physical Therapy
To help restore function and improve mobility, as well as decrease pain, our staff offers comprehensive exercise programs, including aquatic therapy in the on-site pool.
Physical Therapy treatments target bone/muscle/nerve injuries, back or neck pain, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, stroke and total joint replacements, just to name a few.
Occupational Therapy
These treatments concentrate on arm injuries, including muscle, bone, and nerve injuries to increases a patient’s independence for performing daily activities.
The Occupational Therapy staff work to restore each patient’s upper body strength and movement so daily living activities can be done more easily and independently.
Speech Therapy
Pediatric and adult services help with communicaton, learning and swallowing.
Pediatric therapists work on speech and language as well as feeding disorders, which are a vital component of a child’s social well-being and academic success.
Adult services focus on swallowing, communication, comprehension, memory and reasoning skills; deficits that may be present following a stroke, head injury, or other impairment.
Speech Therapy can enable individuals to regain independence, communicate their wants and needs and maintain safe, adequate nutrition.
All patients are seen with a physician’s order and most insurances are accepted. There is no cap for Medicare patients.

Monday through Friday
7:00 am to 7:00 pm
The outpatient office is conveniently located in the Johnston Medical Mall
