The Women’s Pavilion offers spacious, beautifully decorated labor & delivery/recovery rooms (LDRs), which offer the comfort and security of a home-like setting. And the Women’s Pavilion has a spacious waiting area for family members to feel comfortable.
While a comfortable setting is important during labor and birth, the knowledge that you are surrounded by well-trained nurses using the latest technology will make the birthing experience even more rewarding. JMH nurses are sensitive to the needs of expectant mothers and offer personalized compassionate service. Skill, tenderly applied, delivers miracles. With that, you can count on the labor & delivery team to work together to offer quality, comprehensive obstetrics and nursery services.
During pregnancy, prepare for the birth of your baby through a wide range of prenatal education programs that include LaMaze, Sibling and New Daddy classes. Trained professionals will answer all of your questions and even take you on a tour of the facility. If you have a prepared birth plan, share it with us and we will support you in making it happen.
The Women’s Pavilion birthing suites are private areas, where newborns can room with Mom during the very important recovery time. This time is especially valuable as infant bonding begins with you and your family's shared touch, sight and language. Bonding is the first loving connection that will help your family grow strong for the future.
You can be assured that babies born prematurely are cared for by a team approach of associates. Babies are stabilized and transported by Neonatal Intensive Care Units in our area.
Our New Mom's class, held before you go home, offers instruction on bathing, dressing and feeding your infant; safety, health and wellness, as well as help in understanding your baby's emotional and developmental needs.
A special "Celebration Meal" is held after you deliver, for you and one other person and the JMH Auxiliary provides all Moms with a special gift.
