Respiratory Care / Pulmonary 
The Respiratory Care Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The department services all areas of the hospital including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the Emergency Department (ED), the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PCU), as well as the patient floors. We attend all high-risk newborn deliveries and help stabilize sick babies for transport to Intensive Care nurseries.

The Pulmonary clinic is held every Monday with a Pulmonologist from Duke University Health System available to see outpatients from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pulmonary Care also offers a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist to conduct Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Monday through Friday. PFT appointments are made by a physician referral.
The department also conducts sleep disorder studies. These appointments are also made on referral from private physicians.
